Every country has a version of this traditional cookie, not so sweet made with pecans and real butter …you will remember these from grandma’s kitchen. I must credit this recipe to Betty (B.B.) Brashier of Texas, one of Mothers (and my) dearest friends. But B.B. calls hers “Sand Tarts”.
